TWENTYFIRST HAS ONE OF THE LARGEST DATASETS IN THE INDUSTRY
Standard & Tertiary Life Expectancy Underwriting
More accurate data than ever before.
Our expert underwriters estimate the average number of years a person is expected to live based on their age, gender, lifestyle, smoking status, family history and medical conditions (“Underwriting Factors”) found in their medical records. The life expectancy report includes the estimate and the probability of mortality each year based on the insured’s specific Underwriting Factors. We offer reports for both the secondary and tertiary markets.
Underwriters review medical records and input conditions and other factors (family history, BMI, lifestyle factors, etc.) relevant to the insured into our proprietary system.
The system calculates the life expectancy based on our mortality tables and the mortality multiplier determined for the insured.
The mortality multiplier is calculated from credits and debits calibrated by data analytic tools including machine learning.

QUICK TURNAROUND & LOW COST
The simplified process allows for faster turnaround time and lower costs to the client.
CLINICAL REVIEWS
Clinical Reviews are provided when our underwriters identify the need for a medical doctor’s input based on severity of impairments and complexity of the insured’s medical history. The doctor with experience in the specialized field returns a median life expectation estimate. These cases are typically terminal cancers and rare neurological conditions. This life expectation approach has shown accuracy over the classic mortality table and debit based estimates on these unique cases.
